Wheel Vibration & Alignment
Okay so I did get my toe-in adjusted and it is perfect...there is no excessive wear/tear on my tires tread. However, there are a few problems that I assume are both interrelated.
1.) My steering wheel is slightly turned left(counterclockwise) in order for my JK to drive straight. Which way do I have to adjust the drag link in order to center my steering wheel (my wheel needs to turn right/clockwise in order to be centered)?
2.) So as in the first question, my steering wheel is off center a tad to the left, when I'm driving and I let go of the wheel, my JK's power steering adjusts my wheel to center position, but then it causes my JK to vere off a tad to the right. Once I adjust my steering wheel, will my JK stop vering off to the right when I let go of the wheel and it's centered?
3.) So I know that my toe-in is perfect and fixed. However, when I'm in between 45-55mph, my steering wheel gets really bad vibration, but then from 0-45mph or 55-80+mph my steering wheel is calm and smooth. What gives?
Thanks!

Which way do I have to adjust the drag link in order to center my steering wheel (my wheel needs to turn right/clockwise in order to be centered)? Have someone sit in the drivers seat and with the engione OFF start twisting the adjuster sleeve. Make sure your wheels are straight before you start. With the engine OFF and the key ON your steering wheel will turn but not your wheels when you twist the sleeve. If the steering wheel goes the wrong direction then twist the sleeve the other way until its centered. Might take a couple of tries.

Did you have your toe set at a shop?? If so why didnt they set the steering wheel at CENTER. If you didnt take it to an alognment shop I would HIGHLY recommend it. Try centering the wheel first.

However, when I'm in between 45-55mph, my steering wheel gets really bad vibration, but then from 0-45mph or 55-80+mph my steering wheel is calm and smooth. What gives? This is the classic tire vibration. You have a tire that is out of balance. Big tires are HARD to balance and the first time you take it off road they will get out of balance. Part of the fun and head aches of having big tires. Get a life time balance warrenty.

I had vibration on a previous vehicle before and it turned out to be the shop that I let mount them. I ordered tires online and then took them to my normal shop that doesn't really do larger tires. Constant vibration and steering wheel jerking back and forth. They rebalanced them 3 times and I had weights all over the rim.
Finally stopped at a offroad shop and let them do it and no more problems.
Hi , a 1 pound difference in the front tires will cause this?...i have a 2008 wrangler unlimited 4 door 4x2 and since the last 3 days it has been pulling me to the right.it only has 2000 miles, i recall having a similar situation during the first 500 miles and, yes 1 pound was missing from 1 of the front tires... i am going to check the cold tire pressure tomorrow morning; by the way the tires are filled up with nitrogen...does this make any significant difference...Thanks for your advice.
