I am putting a 2.5in lift on my Jeep soon. However do to money restraints I am going to put it on with the Stock wheels and tires. The Tires are 255/75r17 Goodyear Wranglers. My question is do i need wheel spacers? I have read on this forum and other forums but they are all talking about getting bigger tires. I am not until these wear down. So do I need them? Thanks!

 

No need for spacers if you're sticking with stock wheels/tires.

Sorry to butt in guys. But I'm trying to figure if I need spacers too.
I bought ballistic jester rims with +12mm offset and I measure 5.5 inches of backspace. Rims are 17x9 and I want to mount on 315 70 R17 GY Duratracs. Do I need spacers? How much?
I would appreciate any help.

Q: What back spacing will I need on my wheels in order to clear 12.50 wide tires?
A: I would recommend that you do not exceed 4.75" of back spacing and even at that, you may still have some minor rubbing up front at a full turn. Also, I would recommend that you do not go any less than 3.75" as anything less would cause your tires to stick out very far past the fender flares. Any back spacing within this range should work out great. PLEASE NOTE: When discussing tire size, DO NOT take into consideration what the "actual size" of the tire is but rather, just what is listed on the sidewall.
