When adding a Lift
Here is the answer from the FAQ:
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modified-jk-tech-2/modified-tech-faq-answers-questions-every-newbie-has-18617/
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 4" lift?
A: For a 4" lift, you should have a set of 4" coils, bump stop extensions, longer shocks, extended brake lines, longer sway bar links, adjustable front track bar, adjustable rear track bar, front and rear track bar relocation brackets, dropped pitman arm, adjustable upper and lower control arms front and rear and new double cardin u-joint style drive shafts.
Which TeraFlex lift kit do you have? Is it the kit that TeraFlex posted?
If so, you'll have a total of +/- 4.5" of lift, and :
-New rear links. (you will move your stock rear links up front)
-Front and rear 2" ext bumpstops (may not be enough with 4.5" of lift)
-Rear trackbar bracket for a 2.5" kit, so your rear axle won't be centered for your 4.5" lift.
-No front trackbar bracket/bar. (you will want to address this)
-Rear Brake line extensions for a 2.5" lift. (check the tightness during flex. You might look at extended lines also)
-No front brake line extension/line. (you will want to address this)
-Stock Control Arms. This means you have no way to adjust your caster. With a 4.5" lift, your handling will likely be very flighty, lots of bumpsteer, etc. (If so, look into at least a set of front lower adjustable control arms)
-Shocks? Do you have new shocks? Using shock extensions? The added 2" from lift spacers means you really need new, longer shocks)
-Driveshafts. Put some money aside for new shafts.
-what did I miss?
What size tire are you going with?
Have you looked into backspacing?
Are you prepared to 'trim' whatever rubs?
Have you considered the costs of re-gearing for the new tire height?
A programmer to reset your computer for the new tires/gears?
And the list just goes on and on...

Are you planning on doing the lift yourself? You'll definitely want to look through the suspension write-ups. Especially this one...

Check out the Write-Ups area also. Great stuff in there.

i am doing it myself the cost of having someone do it where i live
cost an arm and a leg plus 4 fingers on the other arm lol but i would
want a professional to do my alignment just because thats pushing it
i think lol also that last thread you gave me answer pretty much all my
question and i'm now think about a small lift for my first lift... just
because i wanna learn in the shallow end before i jump in the deep
end... sooo thanks a lot for the great thread!
Definitely a better idea for you to use just one of those kits, and not both. (I'd suggest the TeraFlex)
Most people here will suggest that you reconsider that decision.
Neither of the lifts you have offer a way to set Caster or center the axles. If you take it in and 'pay' for an alignment, the only things they can do are:
- straighten your steering wheel. (loosen 2 bolts, turn until it's straight, tighten bolts)
- adjust toe-in. (measure, loosen bolts, turn, re-measure, tighten bolts)
That's why I linked that particular write-up. Easy stuff, and a huge waste of money when you can do it yourself in 20 minutes - (especially since you don't have any adjustables so can't center the axles or change the caster...) And I'm pretty sure you could find something better to spend your money on...

lol well then i will try and if i have any promblems i will post then lol
but from that thread it doesnt seem to hard so trying would be good to learn
for the furture. and i am thinking about the Tera flex 2.5 with shocks (SKU: 1251000) just something easy to start off with
