Yeah I dug on Google and found some Engineering talk about how you need to Preload the threads of a Arm WITH the "jam Nut" so it does not eventually "waller out" the threads from the ever so slight "slop" in the threads themselves which will wear out and cause a "clunk" sound (worn out rod threads) over time. THey were also talking about applying a lot of torque on the "jam Nut" or it's gonna come loose every time, and people that experience "jam nuts" comin loose are not gettin enough torque on them. They also say some people torque the jam nut and then spot weld or tack weld the jam nut to the rod. JUst thought I'd throw that info out there.

Jp mag did an article about control arms recently and one of the points that came out was "some jeep owners desire using an OEM style rubber bushing". I have owned the TeraFlex arms for 2 years and love them for their design, strength and rebuild ability. Being a DD and rock crawler living in the north 4 miles from pavement, I have had to rebuild the metal joints twice due to the abuse of salt and calcium chloride. JKS makes control arms that come with the OEM rubber joints. According to Jp's "opinion" these joints would hold up better for my climate and use.

I recently rebuilt my Tera lowers and put on JKS uppers. If you live out west, down south, and don't contend with rust and calcium chloride, TeraFlex arms are awesome. JUST MY UNOFFICIAL, NON EXPERT OPINION

Pretty much any brand in the same price range will be good. Don't compare a budget lift (with all rubber bushings) to a full flex Terra lift (with the quality joints). You need to compare set ups apples to apples.

I have bent lower rear control arms before, but other than those everything seems to hold up well. Why don't you ask each manufacturer if they will warranty a bent lower arm? See who steps up to back their product? This is a bent arm not a joint that wears out.

Hmmmm. Rock Krawler warranties all hard parts with our Abuse Proof Lifetime Guarentee. If you bend them, we will be impressed and of course get you a new one. All you need to do is show us a digital picture.

The joints we are currently using have been in service since 2004!

All of our arms are made from solid alloy steel! All of our lower control arms are bent for high clearance. All of our arms are Made in the USA.

I gave you guys a call today and talked about your 3.5 mid arm system on my 2 door and had everyone of my questions answered. I also like the idea of your high clearence lower arms. I know you have to do some welding with the trac bar brackets in this kit but is there anything else that needs to be addressed on the install? Also what would you recommend upgrading in the steering department for a 37in tire?

Sir, for the 3.5" system that you are referring to, yes, the rear track bar mount has a recommended weld procedure to ensure it will never fail..

For the steering, it all depends on your budget. If funds are tight, sit on what you have until it fails you and then upgrade.

Rock Krawler... I searched for a long time before getting mine, for quality and PRICE you can't beat them.

Teraflex and a few others arms are way overpriced if you ask to me...

Rustys also makes great products with great prices and customer service.
