If you are only going to be using an upper or lower front control arm, IMO, lowers offer more adjustability than uppers. For the rear, uppers do.

Adjusting only the uppers or lowers, will move the axle forward or back.

Looking at the front suspension on mine....

It looks like adjusting only the lowers will move the axle more, (forward or back), for a given amount of caster change.

Sounds like you got a handle on it just do the lowers ,it's going to change your wheel base very little , maybe 1/4"

David,

I totally know that, that is why I ordered from you! They got here yesterday. Thanks for getting them shipped so quick at such a great price!

I installed the same shaft up front. One thing i didn't see mentioned, check the alignment arrows and make sure they are lined up properly. Also souble check the torque on all fasteners.

If you can't get it fixed, probably need to get it rebalanced. I'm on a four inch lift and did not adjust caster at all, have zero vibes.

And Northridge is the shit.

I forgot to post an update.

I called the dealer the next am, asked to talk to tech, he said he didn't use the inch lb torque procedure, which is why I paid $. He just torqued to 160ft. lb., which I realize is very likely fine, but that is something I could of done myself. He never installed rear flange nut, he thought it just slid on.

I told him I would be there in 15 min to get my nut.

I get there and I have a room of 6 guys waiting for me and all staring in anticipation of my reaction. I was very calm, and asked who the manager was. This guy was extremely sincere. My whole attitude changed within a few minutes. We talked awhile about all my concerns, and he gave me 2 options.

1. Full refund and my nut back.

2. He pay to tow my Jeep from home to there (can't drive with no shaft of nut to hold flange on cuase of giant gapping hole that would be left in TC). This was his preference as he wanted his best tech to go over everything , including redoing the front end with inch/lb, and locktite everything.

I let him tow it. I even told him to drain and fill the tc fluid and I would pay for it cause I was worried what got in there (there was a slight gap where flange rode out).

They did everything with no charge.

All in all, people make mistakes, and they made it more than right. Not saying I am in love with them, or a cheerleader, but at least I think they are OK because he was willing to man up.

And yes, Northridge rocks.......but we already knew that.

Thats great man, happy it worked out for you! I try to keep my cool with stuff like that, and it tends to work out for the best.

Happy they righted their wrong!
