Can't go wrong with a Warn. I have a Warn 8000i for years now and it's been an amazing winch that has really held up.

Last week the Warn 8000 where on sale for 479 at 4wheelhardware

the m8000 is ok if you have a 2 door. for an unlimited, i wouldn't go any lower than 9500lbs

That m8000 is still pushing it on a rubicon 2-door too. curb weight is over 4100lbs. You want between 2-3X the pull strength. Don't forget, the more line you have out, the less the winch can pull. Granted you can use snatch blocks, that's just one more thing to set up properly.

you have that backwards, the more line on the spool the less your pulling power.

oops, that I did. The more layers of cable on the drum, the less your pulling power is.

Actually, Warns Tabor Series is made in China.

Superwinch EPi or EP 9000. Comes with a snatch block and you can find them for a pretty decent price, usually around $600. There also perfect for synthetic line becuase the break isn't inside the drum. No worrys about melting your line... designed in USA made in Taiwan & china

Thats interesting... When I called Warn the person I spoke with informed me that the Tabor series is made in China? Who is getting the correct information? I wonder if it comes down to the designed in the USA and made in China? I don't know, but I do find it very interesting that we were told two different responses.
