I agree my remote for my XD9000 had a sticker on it that said "Made in China". My clevis hook also had an ink stamp with China on it. Its a personal preference but I try to by products that the majority of components are US made and then assembled here.
Its extremely difficult due to all the outsourcing to China, Taiwan etc. Like I've said before in an other thread I have nothing against these races people. I just want to preserve more jobs for the US worker. I don't mind paying a little more for products produced and assembled in the USA.

These days its hard to get stuff thats all pure U.S. With a global economy/market and everything being so integrated its becoming the norm. Currently all our components are pure U.S. but there are many challanges that we're faceing to keep things that way. Being in the Industry I've learned alot about other companies and there supplyers and all I'll say is theres way more stuff coming from china and other country's than you would think.....

Me neither. Protectionism is a good thing. Anyone that tells you differently either is deluded or has a vested interest in outsourcing.

With all that has been said about most winch's these days having parts made in china, you might as well check out ebay for a 12000 lb winch. There is a list of reasonable priced ones with wireless and hard wired remotes.

Whatever winch you get I STONGLY recommend using the rope and not the wire. The wire is hard to handle and dangerous as it behaves like a spring whip if it breaks. The rope will just lay down and is easy to wrap back onto the drum when done. Remember that all winches have more power when fully unwrapped to within one layer of the drum. Use a snatch block or D-link (it's just a big pully) whenever you can to help. Doubling back thru a pully makes it a much easier pull for your winch.
