Did you use the Warn bracket to mount your selenoid? If so, how did you keep the wires off the grill?

I tried to put mine that way, but couldn't figure out how to keep the wires off the grill. Seemed like it was going to rub the paint off over time. I installed the bracket on the right side, which allowed me to move the selenoid closer to the front, but then makes the connections a bit tight to the winch motor.

I have an XRC-8 from Smittybilt that fit perfectly without having to modify or do anything to the bumper. In fact, I was able to install it with the bumper attached to the jeep.

to those running a roller fairlead, does the cable rub on the bottom or sides of the slot in the grill? I had to widen mine in 3 directions to keep the cable from contacting the bumper.

I did use the Warn bracket. I then cut the original plastic "bumper to grill space cover" to go around the winch and then ran the wires under the cover and grill over the top of the sway bar and up the radiator support area on the inside of the engine compartment. There is plenty of wire on the winch to do this and it eliminates the possibility of rubbing the grill paint or making any sharp turns anywhere else that may lead to rubbing of the leads. I will try to add a photo prior to putting the grill back on.

Huh... Never though of putting that back on. I'll have to go look and see about that.

I didn't think to put that black space cover back on either. hmmm. Not that the look without it is any big deal. Hmmm
