I spooled the winch under a load and it looked perfect, but when I go to use it and disengage the clutch to free spool it, the cable back spools and makes a mess of it self? Any one have any tips to prevent this? Ive never had this problem with my quads cable, Thanks

Find a tree or light pole and hook to it. It will help if there is a hill that the winch needs to pull the jep up. Then free spool all the way out. Start winching in snd start a clean line back and fourth.

Let me change the question a little then, what's the correct way to unspool the cable. Because all it does when I put it in free spool and pull is become a tangled mess
