winch mounting plate
Ok, I have searched only come up with a broad series of answers. I have a smittybilt xrc8 winch, and its needs a home. I dont have the funds yet for a nice aftermarket bumper. So I am looking for a winch plate to use with the stock bumper.
so my question is, what are you guys using to accomplish this?

I had purchased an Aries winch plate that is supposed to work with a stock bumper. I received it and it appeared very nice. I did notice that it would require a little trimming of the factory bumper (plastic bumper) in order to get it to work. I returned it as my girlfriend bought me a Rugged Ridge XHD front bumper - which allowed for my factory fog lights and winch ($369).
I purchased it on eBay from Jack Mikol Automotive. The cost is $99 plus shipping. Give him a call and he can fill you in on what may need to be modified - he was trying to get information from Aries at the time I returned it.
There are some others out ther but they are well over $300 for the winch plate itself.

there you go. this is what I'm going to be using to mount my winch. it's a perfect fit between the front horns as you can see...then just hack up your plastic bumper to go overtop and your golden...or so I'm figuring anyways, in a few weeks I could let you know how mine turns out

I have the Smittybilt XRC8 mounted in my stock bumber using the Smittybilt TJ mounting plate. I had to cut a fair lead hole in the bumper and drill two additional mounting holes in the frame rails, but it worked out quite well. Did the whole thing with a Dremmel tool and a cordless drill.

Hey - It's the Warn Winch Plate for the Mopar bumper. I got it from another forum member. They run about $300 new, but used you can get a deal. Now I just need someone to sell me a XRC8 for a good price....
