I just found a ramsey winch to use on my jeep. I tried it last week and it worked fine. I then sanded it all down and repainted it. I hooked it up today and when I hit the "in" button. I hear something inside clicking, but the spool of line doesn't retract. Any idea what could be the problem

 

Is it in gear?

 

sounds like a solenoid is out.

Mine did the same thing. This was about 2-3 years ago. New solenoid cost $15.00 and was about 20 minutes of time on my warn. I now have a spare that I purchased too. Cheap insurance.
