No offense but $350+ for a winch plate, just because it says Warn...no thanks. Plus I like the way the winch looks when inside the bumper rather than on top

I used a winch plate from Olympic and it has brackets to bolt it to the bumper, it was about $150

Thats how I did it, in a sport. Winch plate was $30. I am curious what is different in a Rubicon's front bumper?

The issue with the rubi is the possible interference with the sway bar disconnect. I did it in my wife's Sahara over the summer. At some point I'll see if it fits on my rubicon.

Where did you mount solenoid?
