Default Window problem

I have a new Drivers window problem.

This was done 2 weeks ago and i have been just putting a big trash bag over the door when parked and just going with an open window when driving.
I have been thinking about replacing it with an other glass window and Dealer wants $201.00 for the window and Moparpartsamerica wants $144.00.

I have been also playing with the idea of just getting some plexi from Home depot and making my own, the only problem is that i do NOT have the window measurements.

Any ideas would be great,
Kat

Soap up the door and a bathroom plunger and give that a try. It might pull enough of it out to let the window work. Be careful though. These doors are thin.

Looking at that dent, I'd be shocked if the window wasn't shattered inside the door......

I suppose you would need the measurements of the window uninstalled right?

The window did shatter on the inside because i slid sideways in mud while going up and slide into a tree root ball that fell over.

Used to know a guy who put a plexiglass window on his hatchback. After a while, it discolored to a yellow tone, and you have to be really careful when you clean it because it scratches, like paint does. Over time he just had a fuzzy yellow window. Looked horrible.

I don't know if it'd be any cheaper, but there's alot of aftermarket glass companies.. If you have a "speedy glass" or "windshield world" or something around, maybe you should check prices with them?

as for the dent, I've been sitting at the computer too long... I can't remember what the inside of the door looks like now.. If the panel is removed, can the dent maybe be pushed from the inside?

NORMALLY its a royal PITA to remove the door panel because the window is attached to the inner panel. But if its completely broken, should be very easy to remove and replace. If i had known it was that cheap i woulda just busted the darn windows out when i did my door lock actuators
