You can check from side to as well but leave opposite tire firmly planted to ground. Lots of play here can identify tie-rod issues, which can cause uneven wear also. Just grab at 3-9 o'clock

Appreciate the help! One more question:
Where should I place the jack when I lift it. I know that sounds like a total newb question but I've never owned a vehicle with a solid front axle. Can I use the front dif and put stands under the axle?
