Default Worn tires

Could tires that haven't been rotated and are oddly worn produce the effects of incorrect camber? Say the tires are more worn on the inside then on the outside of the tread. I recently rotated my tires and installed 1.5" spacers. The steering has become more flighty.

Thanks in advance.

Uneven wear on tires is usually caused by poor alignment. After putting in the spacers, you should get the alignment done. Both will affect your steering and handling.

should get alignment after any modification to suspension or wheel ends BUT
im a hd diesel tech and big rigs have dedicated steer and drives that obviously cant be interchanged so after about 50k miles on the steers the inside edge wears away more than the outside due to the inclination of the tire while turning, so it is possible to have irregular wear with a proper alignment

Depending on how wide of a tire you are running with the spacers, it may not follow the ruts in the highway and will wander some.

315/70r17. I'll check the joints. Is there I particular motion? Like, do I move the tire vertically or twist the top out and in?

Yeah, your basically checking camber. Top and bottom for real sloppy play (up and down movement)
