Default Write-Up Reference List for the OME LT Kit Install

Hi Again Everyone,

This is the second post regarding the OME LT lift install.

The following links were helpful to me during the installation of the OME LT kit purchased from Northridge.

The author(s) of these write-ups and threads deserve the credit for my successful installation of the OME LT kit on my '08 JK 2-door. (I believe wayoflife actually authored each of the write-ups in the list below.)

(The next post I write will include some tips which might be considered during the installation of the OME LT kit. The only reason the next thread is required is that things are slightly different between the specific components, or because I found it a little easier to do things in a little different order. My suggestions are opinion only, and not meant to detract from the great write-ups and feedback provided by others.)

The following are the write-ups that I found to be most helpful during the installation of the OME LT kit. (I have listed them in the order that I thought would be most helpful to those installing the same kit.)

1. TeraFlex 4" Flex Arm Lift Installation Write-Up (wayoflife) (This write-up also includes details of installing extended brake lines.) - http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...ation-write-up
2. Old Man Emu Jeep JK Wrangler 2" Lift Installation Write-Up (wayoflife) - http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...ation-write-up
3. Basic Do-it-Yourself Jeep JK Wranger Front End Alignment (wayoflife) - http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...-end-alignment
4. JK Stainless Steel Extended Brake Line Installation Write-Up (wayoflife) - https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...extended+brake
5. Bleeding Your Brakes (wayoflife, I believe) - http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...ng-your-brakes
6. Currie Rock Jock Suspension Lift Installation Write-Up (wayoflife, I believe) (This link might help answer some questions regarding the installation of the upper control arms.) - http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...ation-write-up

Please be aware that none of these write-ups is specific to the OME LT kit; but, most of the information required to successfully install this kit can be found in the write-ups listed above. It helped me when I took that mindset that I wasn't going to find real step-by-step instructions... it was going to take patience, common-sense, and good judgement to complete the installation.

There are many other great write-ups, and also valuable information in threads on the forum. My only intent for listing the above links is to acknowledge their help to me during the installation of the OME LT kit. Hopefully the write-ups will provide at-hand information to those seeking some quick advice during the installation of their kits.

I hope this helps.

Jeff
