x model and 37

I've been running 37 inch BFG's KM's on my 2007 Unlimited with stock gears 3.73's and D30 for 2 years and haven't broke anything yet. For all it's worth I do avoid some of the more intence rocking crawling. But I figure when it breaks I will upgrade.
month, have wheeled moderately off road twice and have yet to experience a
problem. One reason I picked Good Year MT/R Kevlar tires was the fact that they
are lighter than just about any other 37, but I plan on doing the evo gussets,
sleeves and even some of their shock and control arm skids before I do too much more.

If they last long enough for me to install an ARB locker in the D30, I'll upgrade axle
shafts also, but if it breaks, I'll probably try and replace the D30 with a 60 if I can
afford it.

I have not broken yet running 37's on my 30 and have been a lot of places including most Moab trails and the Rubicon. I'm easy on the gas generally, but haven't babied it. I have definitely been lucky.
I have put at least another 12,000 miles on mine now, still running 37's,chrom moly axles, gussets on my d30,locker,and have done alot of rock crawling(difficult stuff) and it has held up fine, still wanting to upgrade to something bigger BUT I haven't broken anything in a long time.
I'm running my 37s (Iroks) on a 30. It hasn't broken yet with wheeling it. Contrary to popular belief, the D30 is a strong axle. Driving style (skinny pedal), gearing, and lockers is what makes a big difference in whether or not something snaps quickly. Is the 30 recommended for a tire that big, hell no, but it can be done. Personally, I haven't upgraded my 30 yet, just been tryin to break it to see when it gives. It has held up so far, even coming down hard (both tires off the ground) I have yet to bend the c's or grenade anything. My plan is to regear, no locker (wish I could, but that is a guaranteed broken shaft), gussets, and carry extra axles on the trail. I'm not regearing to 5.13s, probably go with 4.88s because replacing an axle takes no time, while replacing a R&P is a PITA. I will not be upgrading to alloy shafts or beefed up U-joints either, because that's what I want to be the weak link in the drivetrain, not the gears. Is this the best scenario for wheeling 37s? No, when all is said and done and theres $$ for it, I'll be getting my 60s. Untill then, if it ain't broke, wheel it till it is.
