Default XHD Rear Bumper Pods: Question

These Pods look great. Can anyone tell me if the D-ring shackles that come with them can be removed and carried in my recovery gear? They don't look standard. Anyway, I can't stand leaving shackle bolts on and having them clack and clang all the time.

I have this bumper also and never hear mine clanging. They are stiff enough that if you raise one up it will stay at that position even when driving. At least mine do.

The shackles are quiet. The have a rubber washer on them and are tightened as snug (or loose) as you want. Nice design actually...

I have the XHD both front and rear, and I agree with everyone so far. They don't clunk or even move.

But they are very easily removed and installed if you don't want to leave them on.
