XHD Vs. XRC
The XRC is a tank! Plus the handle is really nice! Only problem is Im seeing rust on the welds after one winter season. Ill probably have the thing Line-X so theres no more problems.
Heres my XRC
Heres my XRC
I have an original American-made version Smittybilt XRC from before the "beer keg" latch that was having problems. It has been beat to hell, and it is still super solid.
Apparently if you were to order one now, they have fixed all the latch problems anyways.
I have a 35" spare, 2 Jerry can holders and a storage rack on top, and still no rattles or problems.
Two thumbs up, unless you get the version from the time frame where they were having those latch problems. Just make sure before you order it. Apparently these problems started once Smittybilt started making their bumpers overseas
but I believe they have addressed these problems and fixed them.

Recently put the XRC on my JK with np. Had MAJOR probs with an SRC from Smittybilt however. In both cases there is no drilling. Oh also mounted a pair of Rock Hard Jerry Can holders with np either on it.
