The difference between the XRC-8 and XRC-8 Comp is close to 20 lbs.

a couple of spec's that I found that might help the OP and others

Synthetic Line: (Per owners information Smittybilt)
Made w/ Dyneema sk-75 Fiber
1/4th the weight of steel cable
Floates- Minimal weight- Torque Free
No kinks, curles or wire splinters
Minimal stretch- non-rotational
uv & abrasive resistant
specially coated to prevent suppage of winch drum
Comes with protective sleeve to prevent overheating
PN: 97780 11/32"x100' = XRC8 (8000lbs)
PN: 97710 25/64"x94' = XRC10 (10,000 lbs)

Closest I can tell from weight is that the rope yields about a 30 lbs. difference over the same with wire. 65lbs ish. vs. 94lbs.

I think that includes the weight savings from the hoss fairlead compared to the roller. There's a few pounds there, as well.

Good point! I've got one for sale if anyone is looking to switch to synthetic. I have the Poison Spyder setup. 1/4" drop from installing this winch on the front end.
