yes another regear question
I am wanting to put 35' tires but right now i have 3.21 gears in a manual x, i am wanting to go to 5.13 my question is... can i only do one axle at a time or will this cause problems.. should i just save and do both axles then tires or do tires and then one axle as i get the money...
Yeah, as these guys stated, it is possible to do one axle, but basically it really makes no sense to do so (you lose 4WD capability).
Buy the tires and deal with the crappy 3.21 gears. At least you have a stick so you can just stay in 4th or 5th gear as much as necessary on the highway (you will probably never, ever see 6th with 35s and 3.21s I hear). It will hurt your mileage quite a bit and isn't ideal, but will work until you save the $ to regear it...
