Ok update time. Managed to run my horn through the relay this time. The main horn was fed with 12 gauge wire right from the battery. The stock horn wires went to the relay to act as triggers. I also relocated the horn from the driver's side headlight to the battery area, right next to the oil cap.

Maybe it's me being hopeful but it seems to sound louder and clearer now. Not sure if it's because of the reloc or the direct feed from the battery.

After I was done, it occurred to me that most cars have 12V running right into the battery thru a built in relay. Am I wrong? If so, did I just waste my time relaying a relay?? And I'm just imagining better results?

I run "Wolo 417 Dual Trumpet Big Rig Sound horn". Got em from an autoparts store for like 29 bucks. Theyre pretty good considering the cost. Wired directly on the stock harness.

if you really want to scare the shit out of people and your unprepared passengers, get the Hornblasters.

Brother-in-law wanted to show me his latest install and SOB made me jump 3 feet...damn they're loud.
