Your guess about this set up?
Have you guys/gals seen this jeep on the quadratec site? I just bought the AEV wheels and I am trying to decide on the lift to purchase. Any guesses as to what size tires these might be and the size of the lift. This is my first project on an 09 4 door and I love the way this thing looks! Any recommendations on lifts (or those to stay away from) are very much welcome as well. This is my everyday vehicle so I want to find a happy medium.
Thanks in advance!

yea its all AEV'd out... looks nice i agree, def their wheels with "3.5 inch" & 35's. I would spend some time on this forum and others and get a taste for what other people have done while considering what you want/need. I think aev wheels are really nice, wish I had them, but as far as suspension mods go I'd look else place, you can find better quality for your money. Check out teraflex, full traction, superlift/black diamond, rock krawler and rubicon express ( w/o cam bolts). As far as full 'systems' go if you wheel it look at teraflex, rock kralwer or full traction, they offer the best for the jk.

1) There are many great suspension lifts out there. I don't even want to name them for lack of leaving someone out, but certainly a couple of the ones you mentioned above are quality. Most of them above, i would argue, are designed mostly for offroad purposes (depending on which of their lifts you get). I had a Teraflex, and I would say it was designed 70% for off-road, and 30% for on-road. These systems flex, contain quality parts, and are worth the money that you spend. The Jeep will drive down the street pretty nice, but you definitely knew you were driving a lifted vehicle....flighty steering, body roll etc. The off-road prowess is great, but since I don't trailer my rig, mine sees much more pavement miles than dirt.
2) The AEV kit is probably geared more of a 60-65% on-road, and 35-40% off road (please note that there are many types of off-roading....rock crawling, expedition style etc.). I do some of both, although I consider true rock crawling something left to buggies and guys running 40" plus tires. I do my share of 37" rock crawling...right up to the point that I almost roll my Jeep. If you are looking for a quality daily driver that has 90-95% of the capability of the other lifts off road, then the AEV is one of the best in my opinion. I have driven many lifted JK's, and I must tell you that high speed stability, cornering (you know, the things we do getting to the trail and driving around town everyday), is 1st rate. There might be a few other lifts that can compete, but to say that "you can find better quality for your money" is completely off base. AEV parts are expensive, but remember, you pay what you get for (both in engineering and quality). Clayton, JKS, Tefaflex, and many others are also very exensive.....again, you get what you pay for.
I took off a $2600 Teraflex suspension (very nice stuff), and put on a $1600 AEV premium suspension, and I am much happier with the feeling of the steering, the cornering, the suspension and dampening etc. I have yet to put the AEV through the same paces off road as I have the Teraflex, but again, I expect it to be 90-95% as capable, if not as good or better.
A Suspension is so much more than flex and articulation, so much more than the height of the lift. There are many parts...bumpstops, shocks, springs, trackbar brackets, steering geometry etc. that work together to create a successful application.
Just for the naysayers, remember that I am not putting down many other lifts out there (although there is some definite junk, even one/two of the ones you mentioned above....cheap parts....lack of engineering....simply get the Jeep off the ground), I am just defending what this guy above has said about a lift that I believe in and am happy using.
What does strike me funny is that if AEV had added $1400 more to this lift (call it a $3000 lift), and put a full set of adjustable control arms under it, I think many would preach that this is the most complete lift out there. In my opinion, I have really enjoyed returning to the stock bushings as the dampening in the cabin is superior, and I was sick of rebuilding the johnnie/heim joints. They would squeek, but they would also loosen up to the point that they needed to be rebuilt (after less than 10k miles).
I will not profess to be an expert, nor a suspension "engineer", but I have been wheeling for as long as most people on this forum have been alive, and have quite a bit of reference.

Just finished the RE 3.5 superflex kit two weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Plenty of clearance for what you are trying to do and good street manners. Very little body roll now, rides well off road, and flexes like crazy.
FWIW, I found this for the lowest price of the bunch of any kit with flex arms and brake lines included. Only thing in the future is an adjustable rear track bar instead of the relocation bracket.

I hear great things about all suspensions when out on the trails. Most of it seems to be a personal preference.
