Make a run down to Rausch Creek Offroad Park if you guys really want to wheel, it's 3000 acres and open to the public. It's a bit of haul but there is more terrain there than you'll know what to do with. It's my go to spot for wheeling, been there more times than I can count...still not sick of the place nor have I hit all the trails yet.

Also like Ren said, joining a local club will give you access to spots not open to the public. Been meaning to join one for a while, lol.
Love Rausch!

Also, if you guys look at a thread I started, there's a new off road park opening in NY about an hour from me. http://www.rocstrails.com/

What's up boys. From New Hartford here. Gotta say what has been said about Nepaug is spot on, strictly a hiking and biking area. It's state forest and watershed property.

Is the Tolland State Forest open for this? Seems a JK group goes there, it's a nice ride getting there. I used to live in CT and remember trails in Bethlehem and surrounding areas.

There are lots of great trails your way that many clubs run.

Just make sure anyone running them know the legal lines of the trails so you don't trespass onto private property. That's how our trails get closed. Not directing this to you codyjames. This is for anyone running trails in "legal" areas.

Any recommendations for a shop that can do a lift install on my JKU in or near Fairfield County? Have checked EVB in Danbury but was looking for other alternatives.

I'm here in Middlebury. Been to Nepaug a bunch of times. I have even lead a trip with a Dodge Dakota club. I know, I know I have heard that it's illegal and we all should stay away from it in the name of not denigrating our hobby but well...until I join a Jeep club....sometimes I am weak...

Having said that, when I have stuck to the "roads" and it's been evident that I've been wheeling because I'm covered in mud and a DEP truck drives by me nothing has happened. Maybe they look the other way? Perhaps I've just gotten lucky?
