Wethersfield checking in!
I have a question about Nepaug ... I've been there a couple times and have even passed the DEP on the dirt roads, they just waved. I didn't get a chance to ask them, but are the trails underneath and along the power lines the only part that is off limits? Or is everything past the initial parking spots, at either entrance, off limits? There's a system of dirt roads that run through Nepaug and they all connect at some point, are these a no-go as well?

Anyone been to Rausch creek? I'm thinking about going on a nice weekend once it warms up. Looking to do some light trails without messing up the new jeep too much. how are the light trails, also hows the camp grounds? I would rather have the whole experience and camp there instead of staying in a hotel. I think its only a little over 4 hours from me in new haven county.
Good to know. I'm usually just passing through to get to a fly fishing spot.

Camping is primitive at best, bring something soft to sleep on.
Okay cool thanks for the feedback. Now I just need to find another jeeper, my buddy sold his rig.
Look out for trips to Rausch Creek on this forum. We often organize trips. I went this spring and had a blast on the green trails. The organizer divided us up into green, blue and black groups and we had an experienced trail leader. Awesome!!
