Ask the next cop/trooper you see. Do you have annual inspections in CT? I'm sure it would be covered there.

Nope, no annual inspection required here in CT (we're not THAT bad).

DMM - I had the same question, and haven't heard a definitive answer yet... I checked out the DMV website, but couldn't find any relevant mention of "bumper" in their regulations...

Next time you get pulled over by a cop, you should ask. Or better yet, ask next time you're at your dealership (tell them you intend to buy the bumper through them, so that they have some incentive to do the legwork for you). Be sure to share what you find!

I was just at my dealership for my 12K mile service, but didn't think to ask... if we're all still wondering by the time I go in for my 15K mile oil change, I'll ask then.

IF THE BUMPER DOES NOT COVER THE TIRES, OR TIRES EXTEND BEYOND THE BUMPER, AND YOU RUN INTO SUPER TROOPER.....YEAH..HE CAN BE A &%#*@ AND STOP U AND FINE U. 80% OF THE TIME, THEY DONT BOTHER, UNLESS YOU KICK UP A ROCK AND BREAK THE PERSON IN BACK OF YOU'S WINDOW!

See how your type is pink and bold? That's what he's asking.

I'm assuming that you don't have your forum account set up for easy formatting... to do so, it's simple:

1) Click on the USER/CP tab (look toward the top of the screen) ; it will bring you to the Control Panel.
2) At the very bottom of the Control Panel page, select "Standard Editor - Extra Formatting Controls."
3) Click on the "Save Changes" button.
4) After completing 1-3 above, you should see a bunch of "buttons" at the top of the text box you type into when posting (I've attached a screenshot showing only the buttons)... simply click on the "buttons" in the toolbar to format the text however you like.

Welcome to the forum, and happy posting!
