CT checking in
adgraybda - welcome back to CT. Collectively, we know a few spots in CT and in MA... but FYI, we don't talk about them openly anymore because anything we post is public, and any idiot with Google and a 4x4 can go tear things up and ruin the spots for all of us! Hopefully you'll be able to join us sometime for a day of wheeling!
Here's a big Jeep wave for all of you - take it easy, and think good thoughts for me on Tuesday AM!

Connecticut is no longer the tax state!!!
It is now the wait for lemon state
Cliff notes: I will know an answer in 10 days.
Court (or the little board meeting you sit in) went really really well. The DCX lawyer kept saying their recall fixed the stalling while we all know it didn't. The state had their "automotive expert" (sweet job, I want it) who also agreed that it had obviously not been fixed because the stalling is a mechanical failure, proven by the need for water and the steering and braking becoming very heavy (according to the expert its impossible for the steering to lock as it feels like its doing but to some one who has never driven with out power steering it feels almost the same). The DCX lawyer still insisted they fixed the problem.
I also found out that DCX submited every service record on my Jeep to date and low and behold my Jeep had a lot of strange work done to the steering collom while it had 4 miles on it and I did not own it, how ever on the DCX paper work it stated I did. I bought it on Feb. 5th, so obviously something is wrong here...
When I was asked if I was seeking a replacement or a refund I said I wanted a refund to, "start over with out worring about a death trap." The two from the state both smied and imediatly looked into all the loan papers to find out what I was owed back by law and where all the funds really went to where they unearthed even more issues from the dealer. According to the state AND the lawyer from DCX they never itemized the paper work for dealer add ons like my side steps and sirius (mine was added at time of purchase and not installed from the factory) This lead to a whole slew of problems when it comes to finding what I am owed back because I want my down payment back.
After all was said and done though I now have to wait and see, I should be getting a certified letter from the state in 10 days to tell me the decision and let me know what to do next.
So on the way home I stopped at the Toyota, Subbie, Nissan, VW, and Honda dealers. After dealing with the DCX lawyer I never want another DCX where they will get the cash. I would buy a used trail rig/winter beater but thats it, They have really left a sour taste in my mouth and NEVER LET ANY ONE GO TO PAPA'S DODGE JEEP IN NEW BRITAIN!
While it sounds like Milk had a really bad experience, in fairness, I purchased my 2007 Rubicon Unlimited from Papa's and have had a satisfactory experience. The sales folks are not perfect and the service intake people can be annoying and slow, but the service folks are top notch and have always been on the ball.
Good luck with your lawsuit.
