Hey guys,

Weymouth here. I don't think I've ever made it this far down the page on these forums.

I'm a JEEP noob so nothing fancy yet. I'm planning to pop in a 2" BB and some 33's to start out and look for a 4x4 club to hook up with. Right now I'm looking at Cape Cod Jeep Club they run out of Doctorwheels in South Yarmouth. They seem pretty active all year round.

Anyway I figured I'd check in and boost the post count.

Hey Weymouth Mike, I talked to Chris from CapeCodJeep and I'm going to miss the meeting this month but plan on going on a ride to go through the qualification process. They will want to meet you first to make sure they like ya. It is the same as in all the other NE clubs since so many have burned by guy's that didn't respect the prilvage. Throwing trash everywhere, disrespectful to others, etc...

I also talked to ScottCarp on here and he is trying to join this club. I'm also joining the newenglandjeepz club.

Good to know that they screen people. From what I've read they seem like good peoples.

Although I'm new to the whole 4x4 thing, I've done my share of camping and hiking. I've seen plenty of people that either don't care or just don't understand the concept of treading lightly.

I was planning to give them a call soon about the club and depending on how lazy I am slapping in the BB.

I haven’t ordered one yet. I’ll probably end up getting the RE 2” with the monotube shocks.

That will keep it simple enough for me . I hope...

Default Is NEJeepz the club of choice?

I'm a new oldbie or an old newbie whichever you prefer. Either way I haven't been off road in MA since I moved in 98. Used to have a YJ and tried anything that wasn't paved. I'm looking to get an Unlimited JK in 09 (praying for a diesel). Until then I'd like to get to know the clubs in the area and keep it on the "legal" side this time around. It sounds like NEJeepz is the way to go? Any suggestions. I'm looking for a ride a month with one Jamboree each year.

I've been looking at the JKs here and I'll say you guys have really sweet rides. Where did the "Show me your 35s" thread go?

Hello, Well I've met some of the guy's there and they seem like a good bunch. I'm joining them and Capecod club. There are two other clubs like Baystate but I think they are only taking applications and have a waiting list as they have to many people.

Hey guys. Just got back from Disney. Had a great time, but the BEST time was when my JK rolled up at the airport to pick me up! (Don't tell my family I said that. ) Damn it's a great looking rig!

I'm gonna try hard to go to the Cape Cod meeting this week. I also sent an app to BayState, and was told they were holding spots for renewals until the March 8 meeting. I was floored to find out the meeting is inside 128. OMIGAWD. I don't have to drive 400 miles! They are inviting all applicants to attend.
Joining 2 clubs may be overkill, but I've had so much fun the past year, I want to do it right and do it often.

NE Wrangling, Thanks, it would be nice to know how things go with NE Jeepz and the Cape Cod Club. My guess is most require you to own a Jeep before becoming a member. It looks like NE Jeepz is that way. I'd pay the dues just to help if I can keep a slot open. Please keep us informed. Anyone else with a membership in MA?

NE are you running on 33's, if so why 33s vs. 35s. I see that you used a BB. How does is ride on and off road? Does it ever bind off road? It seems like a mixed batch of opinions on if you need to regear even with the lowest stock set to go up to 35s.
