NE shops doing Hemi installs
Dave,
The re-gear helps a lot on mine with my setup and 35's. It basically brought it back to stock power which felt like night and day after driving on stock gears for a year. I get great low end torque and I really couldn't imagine needing anymore power while off-road. My gearing and Rubi's 4:1 low range make it feel like a tank. However, its the highway driving that still sucks. I can easily cruise at 75mph and stay in gear but if I need to get that extra bit of power to try and pass, forget it.....I still get the downshift in my auto, the rpm jump, the sound of the engine screaming, but nothing in response to speed increase. This is where the Hemi (or the Pentastar) would really make a difference. But.....I barely drive highway for my daily use so......

I guess I could do that. I kept getting seduced looking at the AEV website and thinking maybe I could do that sort of thing. This, of course, begs the question that I hardly wheel enough to justify it. How much power do you need to basically cruise around town and wheel once a month 6 or so times a year? Probably me just being silly deluding myself into thinking I'm like WOL. Hence, the lithium....

Heck I'm just setting it up just to cruise the mall!!
What about Briggs in Norwalk, CT, I think Jae works there? I know they've done several lifts, tires, and gears. He recently posted up a thread on a recently received 4.7 L they were doing some significant work on . I'd imagine they can prolly ha ndle the a Hemi swap too.

Here is the engine thread I was talking about. I presumed it was at the shop. He never did say what it was for, but I know he was doing some major work on a Dodge truck if memory serves... This could be for that, maybe.

no no no your looking at it all wrong. think about how much faster you'll be able to get to the trails once your jeep has the kick in its ass it needs.
