wayland1985 04-23-2008 02:13 PM

I'll give you one more post since i'm there nearly every weekend... :D

drinkingmymilk 04-23-2008 03:06 PM

I have a really good friend in rhode island. Was my room mate at school. Last weekend I was at his house and his mother said, "Connecticut is a big state." I thought I was going to have to buy her a new rug from the beer that shot out of my nose.... In all honesty though, the foxy lady in providence may be the scariest place I've ever been.

TexsDream77 04-23-2008 04:05 PM

Wow.. if the Foxy scares you.. you should try the Satin Doll. Not that I know what it's like in those kind of places:D

TexsDream77 04-23-2008 04:24 PM

A few of us are planning a short Kayaking trip on the Blackstone on Sunday. If any one is interested.

Oh I'm sure there is worse in there some where. Although you guys do have a great little state. :D I would love to live down by the shore there. No, clue where blackstone is but I would be up for a kayaking trip some time seems like it could be fun if we found a place to do a little trail ride/lunch kayak maybe even camp out would be awesome.... hmmm if only there was a place that cool.

The Blackstone River runs from Worchester, MA to Providence, RI. It has flat water to class 3 rapids. We are running one section of river on Sunday. Shouldn't be more than a few hours on the river.

As for the Trail ride/ Kayak/ lunch/ Campout. That will be this summer untill fall. I will post more info later in the season. We have 3 mile Barrier Beach/ Big Salt Pond/ Great Big Ocean/ Great Fishing

RI thread!!! I thought I was the only one! I am in Cranston. Got some mods happening this weekend (I hope) and should be set to do some wheelin. Any good spots around RI? I know of one but it is more of a washed out dirt road than a true trail.

TexsDream77 05-17-2008 12:51 AM

Join RIOHVA. They have a trial ride weekend campout planned for Memorial day weekend. I think they still have slots open. I'm going to be up in NH... so I won't be making it.

Only went there once. It was a few years ago to drop off my buddy's spare keys. He was a bouncer there and had locked his keys in his truck. It was so cliche. I walked in and, no word of a lie, Motley Crue's Girls, Girls, Girls came on! I thought I was in a freakin movie. There's a bar near there owned by the guys that own the Foxy. I was in there one night until closing. A little after 2 am a bunch of the girls from the Foxy came in. I didn't leave the bar til about 4 am and had to be in work for 7.

TexsDream77 07-14-2008 05:24 AM

I still can't believe that only 2 people have chimed in from RI.

wayland1985 07-14-2008 01:36 PM

I know for a fact there are more Rhode Islanders out there. In fact, I've seen a few Jeeps in the cumberland area with the JK sticker right on them

TexsDream77 07-14-2008 09:05 PM

Speaking of stickers... .lol where are we with those?

Learn something new every day.

My girlfriend didn't even know that and she's in North Smithfield.

TexsDream77 07-21-2008 07:41 AM

TexsDream77 07-23-2008 10:24 PM

little one and i hit the beach yesterday

http://a164.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...eee91c721b.jpg

she's 4 and has been saying she sees mickey mouse all the time... i see the little bugger now. lol

http://a30.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/...18918eed1d.jpg

http://a300.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...cda72cbc4b.jpg

http://a723.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...7c572bc7da.jpg

and then there was this clown in my way
http://a193.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...879820a930.jpg
and of coarse he didn't air down. He had a beach pass... but none of the required equiptment for being out there. I aired him down before i pulled him out. he was burried to the frame. After i dragged him all the way back to the parking lot... he says.. how am i suppsed to air back up. he didn't offer me any money... after he offered to pay for a tow truck... so... i left him on his own devices to air up.

Sorry.. but... looser.. .get off my beach... lol. If i helped him too much he might come back unprepared. It's one thing to need help. It's another to be just a plain idiot. anywho.. enough ranting about the morons that don't air down and don't go out prepared.

And the reason I started running lots of lights:
http://a418.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...e5f0be15c9.jpg
It gets dark out there... real dark. And before the signs were put up... it gets confusing which trail to follow in the dark. Or to work on a broken or stuck in the dark. Not a problem now... I can see just fine at night.

Now this is a red neck beach house.
http://a777.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...67bf0c2390.jpg
Ok... yes I used to own an old motorhome and park it out there too... lol not quite that old though. It was an 86 class c 25'. Rotted out the frame ... dam salt

SmokeShowin 07-24-2008 06:06 AM

Awesome pics Tex.

Which beach is that?

TexsDream77 07-24-2008 05:28 PM

East Beach in Charlestown.

Sweet beach. My GF's family has a little place down in Point Judith.

TexsDream77 07-25-2008 06:54 PM

NO Day Passes. the cool thing is that the barrier beach permit gets you onto almost every beach in the state after the summer is over. So... we get to play on them in the fall. When the fishing is best. Afterall... that is technically why they are open to trucks. So if your laying on the beach... enjoying a little early fall sunshine... What out.... here we come... lol

Hey man... Mickey's is better than a bunch of the providence clubs now. The fire did that place a whole lot of good. Now... K2U... well... that's another story.:rotflmao2:

TINMAN_2469 07-28-2008 05:25 PM

Ah very true. I was just up there about two weeks ago and "donate" more than a few bucks to one of the Foxy women!

I donated to the indians down at Mohegan last week. Figures, my GF was hitting on the slots. Yet another reason to hate her. :rotflmao2:

Let's go for a ride

This is posted on the NE section. I just thought I would copy it here. See if any RI folks might want to come with us.

Quinville is in Lincoln!? I grew up (and now work in) Hope which is a village of Scituate. I now live in Scituate, but my mailing address is Foster! Little RI gets confusing sometimes. btw- Where do you go, or who do call for the beach pass?

Go to the Burlinggame campgound and the office is rightnext door to the campgound office. All RI Beach fronts open to 4 wheel trafic on Sept. 15th. Passes are $50.00 resident and $100.00 non-resident.

rubiRI77 09-11-2008 01:14 PM

Thanks texs dream! i will be looking into it.

Dylanjam77 09-15-2008 08:39 PM

Hey Texs... your jeep looks great. Sorry we won't have the jeep in time for this current meet and greet/ride you have going on. Should be here by the first week of October if all goes well. You may see us around as the wife works in Lincoln and my folks live in Albion... speaking of another area of RI nobody really knows of!

SmokeShowin 09-20-2008 01:11 PM

Saw a silver 2 door off North Main St in Providence this week. Had an LED lightbar on the hood. It was sweet lookin.

TexsDream77 09-20-2008 04:28 PM

Dylanjam77 10-02-2008 05:55 PM
