I had a tiny chip on my windshield from a rock 1 month after I got my 12', we had the first snow of the season and bam there goes a crack, one week later 2nd snow fall and bam the crack went longer....lol
I met with a Chrysler rep earlier this week for some other issues and he saw the crack on my windshield, he said he was going to replace it for me at no cost due to some of the jeeps having factory defects. It was all good i was playing along UNTIL he saw the tiny chip from the rock and he denied.....

Unfortunately, the almost 90 degree angle does not allow rocks to glance off the windshield like those that are raked... I've been fortunate so far. But I no many people who have had theirs cracked.
Our weather in NC isn't cold enough to cause cracking (as far as I know).

Yea I didn't think it was cold enough to cause it to crack but it idid, the temperature did change incredibly quick after it had snowed both of the times so that might have been the cause. I've my state inspection due in a couple of months I'm gonna have to purchase a new one....don't really wanna know how much is going to set back....

About two months after getting my 2012 I got a chip and small crack from a small rock. Surprisingly it hasnt spread. And here in Colorado it goes from 65F in winter to 5F in one week. Still no crack.

Yup, me too. My 2012 JKU has been lucky enough to take a few highway-pebbles to the windshield with grace. However, one hit a few weeks ago that sounded like a boulder hitting, and I couldn't see where it hit. The next day, a crack about 6 inches long appeared from the bottom of the glass, right where the rock hit.... It's now managed to spread horizontally in a perfect line from edge to edge. Fortunately, it's not in my line of sight! Meh... I'll see what's left of winter does to the glass.

Had my '11 Jk a couple of months, first cold snap of winter and watch the crack go from a stone chip on the very edge of the drivers side slowly work it's way all the way across to the edge if the passengers side. And, of course the crack was right in the middle of my line of sight. Had it replaced, and the windshield WITH the decals cos me $70 more. A few months after that got another stone chip which I quickly had repaired hoping to avoid another crack. Now on month ago temps dipped to -15 here and got another crack at the bottom on the passenger side, doesn't bother me at all and it'll stay like this until I any see anymore. After the second windshield was out in I installed a weather tech stone/bug deflector to hopefully avoid this. Doesn't work, save your $$$

I had my 11 for about...11 hours and a rock popped up from a passing truck while I was sitting at a light. Was fine til the wife drove it - used the defrost and it cracked all the way across. No visibility issues so I haven't replaced it yet.
