Default UPDATE from DC

Below is the response I got from DC.

_______________________________

Thank you for contacting the Chrysler Group Customer Assistance Center.

We have received your email regarding your recent service experience at
Farrish Jeep.

I regret your dissatisfaction with the service you received and
appreciate the time and effort you took to bring this matter to my
attention.

We realize DaimlerChrysler's reputation depends in part on the quality
of service provided by our dealers. Because DaimlerChrysler dealers are
independently owned businesses, they are responsible for addressing
concerns directly related to their sales and service activities, as well
as their personnel. Although DaimlerChrysler does not have the
authority to resolve concerns related to dealer workmanship, service
scheduling, or repair pricing, you may want to pursue the matter
directly with dealership management for further resolution.

Information received from customers such as yourself enables better
evaluation of dealers' service activities. Your complaint will be
retained in the dealer's file.

Thanks again for your email.

Sincerely,

Kinya

I would have made them undo the deal. I would have never taken receipt of the vehicle. It doesn't matter if you signed and paid the Down Payment...if you don't accept/ receive the vehicle, it's still theirs!

What crap!!!

I totally agree, unfortunately for me this happened on the 3rd day after delivery!

And of course VA has no 3 day right of recision...

I pretty much think this is one of those lessons learned type deal. I''m not sure where to move forward on this except getting 5-10 guys standing out on the public sidewalk in front of the dealership with signs saying don't buy from here!! Excercise our freedom of speech.

Outside of that I think I have to just deal!

When I was just a kid my parents put large yellow lemon stickers on a Chrysler Town & Country wagon and parked it across the street for several days. The dealership caused the damage they should fix it.

This just goes to show that no two people have the same experience. I too bought from Farrish and they have been nothing but accomidating and helpful. Nothing has been perfect, but they have always done what it took to make the mistakes right.

Sorry you are going through this, but you are in the right here. Keep up the good fight and keep us all posted.

Default Same experience with dealer

I have been back and forth with Hendrick Jeep so much, the guys at the rental car place that gives service loaner cars know me by first name . I bought mine with a dual top, they neglected to tell me they switched the hardtop off another Jeep on to mine. When I went to push the rear window defogger button, I coudn't find it. Well, they "forgot" to put the wiring harness and button in the Jeep and "forgot" to tell me when I bought it. They also "forgot" the side and rear soft top windows. When I took mine in for the water leak, I brought it there at 8am and when I called at 4pm, they hadn't gotten around to looking at it, even though I had an appointment. The last time I brought it for the flash, the service guy asked where did YOU hear about the TSB? in a sarcastic tone and then told me that the flash was an old TSB and even though my build date was NOV 1 I didn't need it. Never going back there. I only bought there because they had 30 2-door JK's in stock and other dealers only had 3-4.

Man that sucks... I don't know what it is, but it seems like people just don't care about other people stuff anymore. Service seemed better back in the day.

Black is one of the greatest looking colors IMO when clean, but requires the most maintenence. I am a detail freak and a big Zaino fan. I know I can get the swirls out, but just pissed that I wasn't the one that put them their. Ah well I think I am just going to fix it myself, as I am worried they'll do more damage!

Sorry to hear you went through the same experiance!
I had a similar experience with a black toyota and a body repair place. They buffed the paint so much the primer showed thru in some places. I haven't bought another black car or been back to that body shop.

I don't know if the people at the stealerships are really stupid or if they just play stupid really well. When I got my Rubi (with dual tops and the deep tint windows) I found that the rear soft top window (still in the box) wasn't tinted so I let them know, and they tried to tell me that because of CT law the rear window can't be tinted. So I asked them, "If that's the case, then why is the rear window on the hard top tinted?" And then they tried to switch it around by saying that it's a lighter color tint than the sides. When they realized that they weren't gonna win the argument they ordered me a new tinted rear window.
While setting up the soft top, I reciently found out that I also ended up with two of the same side door rails instead of one for each side. I wonder what kind of excuse they will come up with this time? I can hear it now... " There is no left or right side because they are made to work on either side." A--h01e$!!!!!!

DevilDog, If I was you I would go and talk to the District Attorney in your area or at least call him or her, and find out right from the horses mouth what kind of right's you have in this matter, they will know. DO IT AS SOON AS POSSABLE.....YESTERDAY. The longer you wait the tighter that window of opertunity is gonna close.
