Default Former YJ owner to new JK owner

Hello everyone. We just sold our restored YJ and bought ourselves a mildly modded JK. Loving it so far. Man these Jeeps have come a long way!

So, most YJ owners think they have the best Jeep ever made and all others after it was just not a real Jeep. How do you feel ? Ride quality? power ? is it quieter ? off road prowess? I think the new Jeep is far superior to a Yj. Besides, real Jeeps have round headlights ! LOL

Lol--that is very true. YJ owners are a special breed! I enjoyed ours quite a bit, but I already have a track-prepped Camaro and an old Porsche 911 that I tinker and have fun with all by myself. The Jeep, for me, was intended to be an addition to our stable so I could enjoy my car hobby (addiction) with the rest of the the family. Having an old YJ was my way of dipping my foot in the pool at a lower cost to see if we'd really use it together--and we did! Wifey and kiddo loved the summer cruising and it always feels like you're about to head out on an adventure, even if you're just going to the grocery store...

The problem was, I live in Texas if you're not capable of doing 65+mph on the highway, you're going to get killed by every other motorist. The YJ offroad was very capable, it looked great, I LOVED the Spartan interior, but I hated the low power. I was always having to work on something, and it seemed like we couldn't take it out when everyone wanted to. I wanted a more low maintenance Jeep with some balls to drive on the highway, and the JK is fantastic in every way. Love the looks, nice interior, and boy is it quiet inside!
