Hello,
I'm new to the forum and thought I should stop in and introduce myself.
We bought our first Jeep 10/31/09 and couldn't be happier. My friend and I have wanted to own Jeeps forever, she got hers a few years ago, and I wasn't able to get mine until 2009. With 4 big dogs, we opted for the 4 doors. We need all the room we can get when the pups go somewhere.
A few years ago my husband and I decided to leave the hustle and bustle of city life in Southern California and move out to the desert where it is quiet. We live 2 1/2 miles down a dirt road near Edwards Air Force Base. For us running off road is a daily necessity. In winter the road in and out floods and at least 5 large lakes form. People have cut a higher road across the front of other's property, but whenever possible we go through the lakes... Sometimes splashing other vehicles... Ooooops
I look forward to learning from your experiences, and maybe someday meeting some of you at an event/ride/??

Welcome to the forum! Nice group here - very helpful.
I have been through Mojave many times. Even wheeled Jawbone Canyon a few times. I have always wanted to visit the aircraft boneyard out there. Seems like there would be some amazing photo opps there.

We plan to hit Jawbone one of these days. I'm hoping life calms down so we can plan a day out there.
