I am back after 12 years from being scbesse
worried about these pro comp 15" wheels.with 1.5 inch spaces that I an no fond of. They came on the jeep with 33" good year duratrac 12.5 wide. And are out past fenders 5.5".
look great but cops won't like it .

Welcome back. I was thinking those looked like dang low BS. Not only having to deal with the po po, but lot of extra stress on BJs there.

Yep! I just had to buy it. I am 99% sure the wheels won't clear if I remove the 1.5" spacers. Awe well jeep was a steal. O ly had 31,000kms on it. Have to see what fender flares will help. Or look into 16" wheels and get new tires. Ugh. They duratrcts are like new tho.

Welcome, Agree, on the 1.5" spacers.. Interestingly I run 17x9 Pro Comps #7069 with 285/70r17s (close to 33) with 3/4" front spring spacers to level out..no spacers and no rubbing issues. It has been a DD with very limited Off Roading.. Point being you might pull the spacers and drive to ascertain if they rub.

I should add I had a 2008 jk 4door with 35's with a OME lift that also had more mods that I can remember aftermarket bumpers, winch,control arms, sway bar discos, coast driveshafts, Dana 30 gussets, did them all myself . Aside from the re gearing. I think it was 5:13's I did. 12 years is a long time ago. Hahah.

What I should have said is I agree with your thoughts on the wheel spacers.. Check the wheels offset and back spacing; would be interesting to find out how it performs w/o the spacers. Just a thought I would look at 17 in wheel which opens up many tires.

yeah I wish I knew what procomp rims were on it. Like I said I purchased it like this from a dealer.
I am going to pull the spacers and see if it will clear.
Doesn't look like it and must be a reason for them having spacers on. I would love to do 16's with proper BS. But hen I am into new rims and tires all around. Lol.
either way so happy to be back in the Jeep world. Man these things have improved on ride .

I think what what being mentioned above is: one if you pull the wheel spacers, then 2. install a spring spacer- the slight lift might help keep the tires from rubbing inside the fenders or other parts of the suspension. Depends on the offset on the wheels... but if they are close, a slight lift might cause them to clear anyway ! Spacer lifts are even cheaper than wheel spacers. But if you are going to modify it anyway... may as well save money on the steps in between and go straight to new wheels!
