So after 15 years behind the wheel of several Corvettes, I thought it was time to move onto something else. Here is my 2011 Wrangler. Someone already started customizing it but then never drove it. Their loss, my gain.

I love it!

 

I was lucky and it came with some decent tires and rims. HID lights and light bar. Snorkel. Front brush guard and winch. Light brush guards. And some interior storage add ons.

The only thing I have added so far is a K&N filter.

I want to add a lift, new fender flares and running boards. I am also thinking of getting one of those storage drawers they make for the back.

I was thinking of adding a bug deflector. I am getting a ton more bug strikes on the windshield of this Jeep than I did on previous cars. Not sure if those bug deflectors actually work or if they are just hype.

 

Welcome to the forum, you've got a good start on a cool looking rig. Hope you got a good deal and enjoy it. Sorry, cant help with the bug deflector thing, I think its because the jeeps windshield is more flat and less of an angle then other rides.

 

The flat windshield means you're going to collect more bugs and rocks than just about any other vehicle out there. I don't really see a bug deflector doing much.

 

Yeah, that is what I kinda of thought with the flat windshield. I was hoping maybe dreaming the bug deflectors you can add to the front of the hood might work. Wasn't sure they were worth the money.

I have to say as a new JKU owner, I am perplexed by the gut of hate these vehicles get in professional reviews. I feel like I must live in a bizarro world because I love my JKU.
