Default Hi From Lower Alabam(aka Emerald Coast/Fort Walton Beach)

Hello everyone. I just bought my 2010 Surf Blue Pearl Sport S package. I'm currently deployed so I still haven't gotten to pick it up and wont get to for about another 2 or 3 weeks. I have been all over this site for the past week and its AWESOME!!! My off roading knowledge is limited to 2 years of having a Go-Kart at the age of 12. So its fair to say I am definitely a Noobie. I have learned a good deal about off roading just by looking at this site so thanks all. I am sure you will all see some common sense questions from me on a lot of threads. I have wanted a Jeep since I was 6 so I am pretty fired up.

I plan on throwing 285/70R17 KM2's and a Tera-flex 2.5 BB lift on my dude but not sure if I just wanna learn the ropes first.

Congrats on the new buy. I am in LA, roundabouts Ft Rucker. Don't spend a whole lot of time in Florida, but I hear there is some awesome wheeling near Edwards AFB I think? Eh, I'd like to check it out sometime.

Ill probably be doing all my riding up at Eglin range. I have a lot of friends from around here who know the good places to go. Definitely gonna be making a trip up to Boggs and Boulders sometime in the late spring, only an hour and a half away. I am hoping there is a beach close by I can go riding on.

Welcome....

Just bought my 1st Jeep over the weekend. So Stoked.

How's that area after the hurricanes a few years back? I lived in Mobile, AL from 2000 - 2005 and really miss living down there. Used to hit Orange Beach, AL and Fort Walton Beach, FL all the time.

That's right, Eglin. I have been to Boggs and Boulders a few times. Really fun place. Understand though that it is alot of Boggs and not a whole lot of Boulders. If you go in my post history, I have a trip or two of my times at B&B. Good stuff.

Actually in FA and Mobile you really cant tell anymore that a hurricane ever came through. As for Boloxi, MS it is still recovering. I'm just happy Hurricane season is over and I know that my JK will at least survive 1 year haha.

Yeah I figured its not to Mountanous up in Bama. It should be fun non the less. Im currently checking out your trips right now. You seem to hit up B&B quite a lot. Once I get a lift and km2's ill probably tag along unless there is enough shit for a stock JK to jack up.

Also I saw you claim Loan star State. What part?

Haha Funny I remember reading your post about the puddle just next to the cool pool and thinking "Ill make sure to avoid it" Having a pic to back it up was awesome. Made me laugh.

Ha! Yeah, small puddle.

I am from the Abilene area. Really grew up all over west Texas. Still call it home. I'll be cruising up to Tennessee when I am done at Rucker. Be up there for who knows how long. Not sure if I'll be able to make it out there again before I leave, my front drive shaft has too much slop in the slip portion of it, gives me a sweet vibration from about 35 mph on up. There is plenty of stuff for you to hit up stock. I rolled around with a stock LJ and stock TJ for several hours one day. You just have to be careful. Like you saw in that picture, never trust a puddle, get out and run a stick through it, then be wary even after that. I've sunk my Jeep out there twice, thank goodness for a winch. Anyways, if I find some time, I'll hit you up.

Josh
