New jeep owner from eastern PA, Hi!
I bought a 2014 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon last week because I needed a bigger vehicle for my business. This is my first Jeep and I'm really looking forward to picking up a wrench and going offroad. This beast is pretty well suited for beginners trails already. That's all I'll be doing for awhile. I want to get to know the vehicle before I attempt anything remotely dangerous. I've never driven when wheeling before. I've gone with an old friend in his jeep a few times but never drove. Gotta start somewhere, right?
I'm not sure if I should post this in builds... I don't feel I should as I'm just asking about some add on parts. I'm very new to all this. Any advice will be well received.
I want to add a beefy compressor that can run air tools, not only for the jeep but to work on other vehicles/projects as well. Having a portable air tool station is great for work and almost any situation. I can wrench and have all the tools I need but will probably pay to have the switches put in and wires done. My electrical work is sloppy at best.
I haven't shopped around much, I'm looking for advice and better options from more experienced people than me.
I'm also looking for a winch in the far future and have no clue where to begin.
I live NE of philly about 40 minutes and have already heard about Rausch Creek Off Road Park I'm looking to plan a day there soon for beginers trails.

Welcome! I'm about 15min from Downtown Philly. Ul find tons of info here. There is a bunch of trips to RC but definitely sign up for Topless for TATA's 6th annual charity event. Registration will open in the next week or so and will sell out soon. Sign up for a beginner course or green trails. U will have a BLAST!

That's something I'm definitely interested in. Do you know what charity they donate to? Certain ones are an absolute scam... I'll be going anyway you look at it. It's not until august. Plenty of time to plan and break in the new jeep.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'll get into the more localized threads and mods soon enough. I may be able to get away for black friday and go up to rausch for my first trip. Is there a thread to organize the trip or is it more of a just show up and see who's there thing?

Where exactly are you coming from? If you want, you can meet me up here outside Reading and follow me up. Just be warned, I'm leaving early. Probably somewhere around 6am. I need to get up there and set up camp before hitting the trails. If you're interested, shoot me a PM.
