New JK owner
Back when I was a teenager I owned a 1997 TJ SE with a 2.5L. After about half a dozen vehicles I have finally returned to a Jeep. Yesterday I purchased a 2013 JK Sport. I am the first owner and got a great deal that was bellow invoice, probably because it was a 2013 and there are plenty of 2014s on the lot.
I am impressed with the 3.6L. I traded in a Ram with the 4.7L and the Jeep has plenty of power for me. For those who say the 3.21 gears aren't enough then I don't know what they were driving before switching to a Jeep. I feel that even when I switch to 35's the JK will still have enough power for me. Granted I don't live in the mountains.
I have rode with my 2 kids in the back of the jeep. I put my 1 year old's rear facing car seat behind my seat and my 6 year old sits on the passenger side. To load up the 1 year old I have him stand next to the rear seat on the passenger side. I then climb in the back and buckle him into his seat. It helps that I am only 5'7" and don't mind the difficulty if it lets me drive what I want.
I haven't truly wheeled in it yet. I just took it down a dirt road that led to a flats area down by the coast. The road had a few puddles that gave the jeep no problems.
