Just a hello and a quick/easy question. I didn't see an "Introduce Yourself" thread, so hope this is okay. I just purchased a used 2007 Unlimited (49K miles.... but with the certified Warranty) and so far am loving it. It is a Sahara with the tow package and hardtop.

I have been absorbing all I can on this site for a month or two now dreaming of upgrades to come....well after probably dealing with the cracked exhaust manifold I hear ticking at me anyway.

But, one thing I have not been able to find is if there is any aftermarket cargo area covers beyond spending a lot of money on locking boxes and such. Just looking for a way to keep prying eyes out of the back area that may tempt someone to break in.

This is my first Jeep (although have owned 4x4's since I was young) and it is interesting that it came about through the insistence of my wife. We rented two Jeeps in Moab this spring, and when we got home, my wife said, "maybe we should get a Jeep, that was kind of fun". Didn't take me long to pick up on that hint folks.

Thanks for a great site.

Do you mean with the hardtop removed? I have a Bestop Duster, which is a soft top fabric cover that conceals the rear tub area behind the seats from prying eyes, though it provides no physical security.

Bestop Duster Deck Cover

There are also several different solutions that go into the rear storage area, no matter what top you may or may not have on. Here's one:

Bestop Instatrunk

I like the looks of the Duster Cover....especially for summer, but am looking for something more for the "trunk" with the top on. Maybe some vinyl and velcro are in order.

Thanks for the welcomes...and I will be sure to wave!!!

Welcome and enjoy modding your Jeep Like everyone else said, there are many covers for the cargo area on the market. Get yourself on the mailing lists of some of the after market companies - 4 Wheel Drive Hardware, Quadratec etc. Then watch the Show & Tell thread here on the forum, you'll surely see a Jeep or two with the covers and you can PM the owner about how they like them.

Have fun!
