It goes on the end of the slave cylinder. If it popped out of the jeep then she's playing a great trick on you or there's some pieces missing on the bottom end of the transmission.
Slave is two bolts on the driver's side, rotate up and out, that little cup will sit on the end.

finishing up a clutch replacement. The piece was not on the slave when I pulled it(thought it looked strange with the boot open at the end🥴. It actually fell to the ground as I was pulling the tranny away from the engine but working on the ground I didnt see where it came from😫.
