In terms you will understand:

An android phone, tablet or PC will get you there. At the end of the day you know you want the iphone, iPad. The Mac. Do you need them? Probably not. But, you will be happier. I base this on the couple of times I've met you and the mods you've done to date.

Here is the easy solution. If you have the extra money to go bigger, then do it. If you are scraping by, then don't. You will spend a lot more money to do bigger tires right.

I was trying to make the same decision over a year ago and ended up going with a 2.5" coil kit, 35" KM2s, which are really more like 34.5" and 17" x 8" ATX Artillary wheels which are pretty light wheels. I've got a six speed and 4:10s so I didn't lose that much performance wise. So far I'm really happy with the setup I have and probably won't ever go to 37s. I really haven't bottomed out much either but then again I'm not goin over piles of boulders, but a few of the trails that I've been on like Usal Road, New Idria, and Laurel Lakes had alot of deep washed out areas that woulda probably got me with the stock setup. This forum is a great resource for helping make expensive decisions like yours, everyone that I talked to here definately helped me with mine!

Ken,
What is the lift you're taking (part of) off? Possible used parts sale to solve a problem here? I just sold my RE springs and shocks (take offs). just a thought?

So let me summarize what I have learned so far:
- People with 32's say 32's are fine cause Im a careful driver
- People with 35's say 35's are fine although sometimes they wish they had 37's
- People with 37's say Ive got alot of money in this rig now.. Not sure if it was worth it but it was better than 35's

On trail accessibility
- 32's have been made to run heavy stuff if you are light on the skinny pedal and dont mind dragging
- 35''s and 37's make it easier/less stressful

General learnings
- people tend to love what they have no matter what size
- posting a new topic from China always results in a million posts when i wake up in the morning
- law of diminishing returns seems to suggest 2.5BB with 35's is still a good bang for the buck if you dont intend to rock crawl

My probable path forward
- 2.5 BB staying with 32's and run some trails that way for a while
- add 35's when i have the $$. Probably on stock rims.
- Stay away from rock crawling cause then im gonna need more flex/bumpers/armor/time.. that i cant swing.

I will have the whole Teraflex 2.5" coil kit with 1/2 inch spacer on each axle. I think the only thing I need to keep are the sway bar links and I may buy EVO's links also. Have the Teraflex shocks, but the back two are banged up but work.

Yes! You pretty much summed it up!! I don't care what any of these guys say, if they come rock crawl where we do with a stock rig with 32s they are going to drag a lot on the skids!
