to 35 or not 35.. that is the question

He currently has a 2.5" TeraFlex coil lift. I was asking him about them earlier to replace my 2.5" BB. The BB was given to me, I would gladly give it to somebody else. But its not a must that I get coils, I would just like the extra wheel travel as it seams I lift a tire 2-3 times on some trails.

I'm still running the stock rubber and I've gone everywhere my friends have gone with 35's/37's. You may need to take a different line or have someone spot, no big deal. Like another post stated...bragging rights
That being stated, when I melt off the stock rubber I will go 35's. 37's and up ultimately require a lot more money than just the cost of the rubber.
Big lifts and tires sure look tough on a Jeep though.

I agree with this statement somewhat... 99.9% of the trails out in the real world are NOT boulder crawling tho. kinda hard to warrant the $$$ on the mods when you would hardly ever need them. i have been thu alot of so called hardcore trails on my 32's, never really had a prob dragging, i think it has alot more to do with good lines and tire placement. if you want to go boulder crawling then go strait to 40's and a 6" lift or whatever-idk. as for me and prob most ppl who run their jeep as a DD, 32/33 are plenty to do the rest of the 99.9% of the trails out there. i dont care to have a boulder crawling buggy jeep that constantly needs repairs, my jeep is almost stock with a few modest mods and gets me anywhere i want to go and if i did ever drag on an obstacle, well thats why the skids are there.
A 4dr definitely needs lift to run any of the rocky trails out here. I get by with my small tires and such because I am in a 2dr, which helps a LOT. But a 4dr will scrape on the Rubicon even with quite a bit of lift. Fordyce is a whole other animal and I don't see him running that from what he has said. Unless he wants to go all out with 37's and such.
