How bad is the dust situation out there? Is it worse or comparable to Hollister? I don't mind it when I'm actually driving through it just debating if I want to spend the 2 days afterwards cleaning everything out Would be nice to go doors & top off weather is gonna be sweet

Not as bad as hollister but you will still be covered in dust. I think almost everyone is running without doors or tops.

Although I haven't run the Rubicon in the summer, I imagine it can get pretty dusty in some sections. Not sure if more than Hollister. Don't worry about it. No top and no doors for this trip. I've only run it twice, both in October. Had top and doors on for those trips and wanted so much to remove them and enjoy.
So looks like we're will be able to have campfires after all. Is that just at Dirty Dozen or Loon Lake as well? My understanding is that as long as it is a dedicated campground and has a fire ring we'd be ok. I was planning to just bring a propane heater and 2 20lbs tanks. Now thinking about leaving one tank home and squeezing in some firewood. I cant do both in the 2 door.

I've heard of hard tops breaking from flex. I'd go topless and door less if it were me. Less weight, less stuff to damage.
