Nice pics. I havn't been up to Bald in a few years. Where was the stream with trout in it? I want to go catch some!!! I havn't done too well fishing this year at Red Lake, Shaver Lake, and some random streams. Maybe this weekend I will try your spot or Huntington Lake.

Fabulous pictures!

People I have spoken with say it's on a par with TRT. Dusy Ershim is certainly one that I want to do, probably June 2009. I'd be happy to join up with other NorCal members. Anyone interested in planning this far ahead?

I would be interested next year if it isn't too brutal.
What is TRT?

The Rubicon Trail, I've never heard it in acronym form though.

That is a good possibility for me. I like to plan ahead because it is more likely to happen then and I can guarantee myself the time off work.

Nice pics BTW 07crawler!

Apologies for the acronym!

We did "TRT" the weekend before Independence Day and it was remarkably quiet. Probably a good weekend to opt for!

What about meeting at the trail head on Thursday June 25 and finishing Saturday June 27?

If you guys say yes, I'll book my flight tickets straight away! Can't wait!

When we hit the streams we weren;t really on the Bald Mtn trail anymore as far as I could tell..that's when I got stuck on the tree . ...like I said these guys took me to places I never saw before...the stream I am told is part of Dinkey Creek. I am going to be going back up this Saturday with fishing pole in hand and going to be doing some wheelin with a few friends for a Bday party camping just past Bald Mtn entrance...I'll let you know how the fishing is. ...I hear Coyote lake is great for fishing..and wheelin. that;s my next trip
