Looks like Damon committed to the run (he has the same set up as me).

That makes 4 Jeeps so far.

Is there a place close by where I can stay over night on Friday?

I don't want to drive up there uber early.

I would venture to say that Placerville would be your best bet.
I see they have a Best Western.

I've stayed at a camp ground right on the south side of Loon Lake which is just off Ice House Rd. It would be closer to the trail than Placerville I think. It was a public campgroun. It may have some spots for Friday. I guess I'm gonna get up early and drive
