July 12th- Hell Hole Cancelled ---> see Signal Peak thread
OK Jeepers ---> Wayoflife is ready to roll with the Nor Cal guys
The tentative plan is Hell Hole.
With the fires though- we may have to pick an alternative route.
It is a moderate run- mildly difficult.
I'm going
How about it ?
Chime in if you are interested.

If the 12th doesn't work for any of you, we are planning another on the weekend of the 18th

Hey Dizzy, thanks for posting this up - WOLette and I can't wait to go wheeling with the NorCal gang
Here are some directions and specific notes about the run:
From Foresthill:
Head east and follow paved forest roads 96 to the 23 and then to the 2 - about 50 miles from Foresthill. Hell Hole Reservoir is well marked once you get on the 2. We will meet up at the Ranger Station which is located at the intersection of the 2 and the 24. The trail itself is marked as 14N09.
From Lake Tahoe:
Head west on 50, head north on 3 (Ice House Road), west on 1 and then north on 2. We will meet up at the Ranger Station which is located at the intersection of the 2 and the 24. The trail itself is marked as 14N09.
Tenatively, we will be meeting up at the Ranger Station at 9:00 AM. The is only 4 miles long and should take about 2 hours in and 2 hours out. We will do lunch at the reservoir and allow people to test out their rigs there as well - terrain is challenging.
For those with GPS capabilities, here are coordinates to the trailhead:
39 4 16.5 120 25 8.0
Here is a Google Satellite View/Directions to the Ranger Station:
