Hi Guys, anyone in the Bay area know of any good places to hang out and have a few beers within 5 miles or so of the concert ampitheatre in Mountain View. Gonna hit the Scorpions Saturday night and want to make a day of it!

 

Check out downtown Mt. View on Castro st. There are a few bars and restaraunts in that area. Or you can cruise University Ave (west of 101) there are plenty bars and restaraunts to choose from. Stay away from University Ave east of 101- thats EPA and isnt the best area to hang out in...

 

How is Francesca's sports bar on Middlefield?

 

I've never actually been there. Yelp might be of better help with this location than myself. I do like hanging out on University. Pampas is there. Its a brazilian steak house and bar. Absolutely great food. Miyakes is a nice little sushi bar. Sake bombs! Mt View and Palo Alto are about 10 minutes in drive time. Middlefield is like 5 minutes from Shoreline and University ave is more like 10 minutes...

Francesca's was a local dive bar that has been trying to rebrand as a sports bar. There is another sports bar on shoreline right off 101 called the Sports Page.

If either of those 2 don't suite you I would recommend downtown mountain view (castro street) Tide House brewery off villa st is pretty good, also Murphy st in sunnyvale isn't too far away either with a bunch of good pubs.
