Well I'm sorry for those who can't make it. But I'm thrilled to join in for those who are willing to "teach." I certainly didn't mean to give some sort of diatribe on my inexperience, but felt it might be necessary to be sure I wouldn't be "that guy" slowing everyone down and ruining the fun.

So count me, and a friend, in! Looking forward to it. Maybe it was unnecessary, but just wanted to be sure I wasn't the only one on this expedition who does NOT consider the Jeep expendable (sometimes you just can't tell on this thread, so wanted to let everyone know my flaws).

Unless I am misinterpreting, let's call that topic done... and plan to get muddy!

Sounds like Mountain View Diner at 9am. Will run the timing by my friend but will plan on that. If anyone thinks I'll need to pack a hi-lift let and recovery straps, just let me know so I can pick them up beforehand (been on the list, but hasn't happened yet). But I'll definitely pack a good attitude and will be easy to spot... just look for the guy in the big red shoes and rainbow wig.

Good times. Will be in touch as this weekend gets closer. Thanks again for the hospitality.

Default Breakfast time?

Hi Guys and girls,

What time are we meeting for breakfast at the Moutain view diner, 8:am or 9:am?

I believe the consesness is 9 but not too sure.

08JKgirl, sorry you can't make it.

High lift and strap is always a good idea.

So far have about 8 jeeps going and maybe 10, looks to be a fun run.

I think we will due the tree trail on the way to Issabelle trail then come back down then go up and due some mud then head back to the parking lot air up and call it a day. Oh yah, have lunch somewhere in the middle or so.

Kat

9:00am start heading for the trail works great for me. it will take me about 2 hours to get there or less, just to get to the Moutain view diner.

My vote is 9am breakfast, but if the consensus is 8am breakfast and leave the diner at 9, I'll try my best to also make the breakfast part, but may end up grabbing something on the way.

I'm going to try to get a Hi-Lift and straps in a few minutes once the markets close. Hope they have them.

And just in case, should we plan on a CB channel ahead of time?

Vote channel 6 for CB radios.
Both Rhonda (RubyJeep) and I (RubyDoo) each have a portable cb radio if needed for others.

It has also been determined that meet for breakfast @ 8:am and leave the diner @ 9:am to head for the trails.

Looking forward to meeting everyone. As is my friend Jere who will be my co-pilot. He went out and bought a helmet video cam that we'll try to mount somewhere good (or he'll just hold it).

Speaking of, I was laughing for about 20 minutes... My wife said "you and Jere are going 4 wheeling? You're going to wear helmets, right?" hahaha. You don't even have to know us, and that's just funny any way you slice it.

8am for breakfast it is. We'll shoot for that but absolutely will be there before the 9am departure.

And channel 6 is also set on the CB. Good times. I'm as excited as Husky game day!

Off topic, but if anyone knows of a good 4 wheel shop, please let me know the name and city. Every time I go to Eastside Custom Truck and actually REALLY need something, they are gone on a 4-wheeling trip for a week (Moab this time). I came home, tried some google searches, and went out to two other shops. Of course, those don't actually exist anymore... so if anyone knows a back-up or has a favorite off-road shop, please let me know. (If you can believe it, in a last ditch effort, I was able to actually find a Hi-Lift at Joe's sporting goods.)
