Oh..... jkgirl, you have won me over with your quick reply and sound logic.

But those places are two hours away. Can't really run out and get something necessary if it take me 3.5 hours round trip (and that is no traffic).

That being said, though, when I do make it to Belfair, next, I hope to visit Northridge. In my silly mind, I have this fantasy of a Costco like atmosphere but for off-road only.

Still can't wait to get to Belfair. But my first and since delayed trip there last August was delayed when a Mitsubishi SUV rear ended me at about 45 or so mph when I was stopped. My neck has been OOC ever since, but their SUV OCC is permanent.

Sometimes in my sleep I still hear the Tahuya trail whispering sweet nothings to me...

Thanks cmyjeep. Kent and Auburn are closer than Northridge, so I'll keep them in mind. But sheesh, is this a dying sport? Nothing other than Eastside Custom Truck in the Greater Seattle Area? Oh well. I guess it makes sense to have the shops closer to the trails anyway. (You should see this wicked pic I have of my Jeep crawling up this rounded sidewalk in Bellevue.)

Oh well. Once I learn from the rest of you this weekend what gear you have and really need, I'll get on it and won't run into this problem again of trying to get necessary stuff last minute.

But I can't stress it enough... any and all feedback from all of you is and has been greatly appreciated. This forum is fantastic and I can't wait to meet all of you who help make it as good as it is.

As an aside, I tried to get moun10eer to join us but he's bogged down with work. :-(

Hoovis, thanks for letting me know about the trail run! I haven't been around the forum lately and don't know what's going on here...

Unfortunately, the deadline for my work is coming (end of this month), and I won't be able to go. I've been crazy busy for the past few months, and I really need a trail run or two right now to refresh my mind! Oh well... Hopefully, the work gets slow down after the project is done.

Anyway, have fun on the trail! Don't forget to post pics when you guys get back!

Great times everyone. Thanks. Sorry I couldn't hit the second trail with you, but it was a good thing we left when we did. I maybe only had about 45 minutes to spare, so either would be real late to a prior engagement, or would have had to turn back and go it solo after a short bit.

Either way, I had a blast. Thanks for all the teaching and input. The trip seems to get better with each memory thinking back.

I gotta run, but will try to post the pics or e-mail or something very soon. We also have some videos, but a lot of them were taken "sideways" by Jere, and I can't figure out how to rotate them. If anyone knows how, please share. Doesn't do the video justice if you have to turn your head.

Thanks again for all the lessons. I'm already thinking that with my poor driving skills, I better get some sliders and Poison Spyder flares. My wife was excited to see the pictures, but when I made the sliders and fenders comment, she went

Cargo33, just got your post. It was today. So hopefully next time.
